Viacom Negotiations Underway

As a local, family-owned company, BendBroadband strives to provide the best programming and service to its customers. We work hard to negotiate fair prices with the companies that own the cable channels that we carry. Currently the National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) is negotiating  a contract with Viacom on behalf of BendBroadband and other independent cable companies for continued carriage of MTV, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central, TV Land and other channels owned by Viacom. Together, we are working to negotiate a fair price to keep your rates as low as possible for these channels. Our existing agreement with Viacom expires on March 31, 2014. It’s possible that after March 31, Viacom may turn off their networks or require BendBroadband to remove all their channels until a new agreement is secured. However, we are doing everything possible to avoid this, while working to keep costs low. We’ll let you know as soon as we have an update. Thank you for your support as we work through these negotiations.
