HSCO: Helping to feed and shelter animals

The Humane Society of Central Oregon (HSCO) is one of more than 30 nonprofits that BendBroadband provides free or reduced internet and video services. During our December Month of Giving campaign, BendBroadband featured local nonprofits on our website, Facebook and Twitter sites. We hope you enjoyed learning more about these wonderful organizations that help make Central Oregon a better place.

Cats, dogs, birds, rabbits and even a few rats can all be adopted at The Humane Society of Central Oregon. BendBroadband is grateful for the wonderful delivery of care to the more than 3,000 lost, abandoned, neglected and abused animals each year in our area.

For each animal, HSCO provides medical care, microchipping, spay/neuter and they coordinate adoptions. In addition, HSCO has a pet food assistance program, education programs and also serves as a dog licensing and renewal site. HSCO serves the Bend, southern Deschutes County & outlying areas.

To help fund their programs, they rely on donors, volunteers and the proceeds from the Humane Society Thrift & Furniture Store at 61220 S. Highway 97, in Bend.

Be sure to take a peak of this fun video that takes you on an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the Humane Society of Central Oregon called Lifestyles of the Rich and Flealess.
