Michael Canic to speak at COCC leadership event

[Update, 9/21] We have some winners! Congratulations to Laura Grey De Block, Sarah Napier Jewett, Jill Hoelting and Joseph Tokish.

[Original post, 9/15] World-renowned speaker and strategy/execution consultant Michael Canic will present “Managing to Win! Do You Have the Right Focus, the Right People and the Right Environment?” as part of Central Oregon Community College’s fall leadership development event on Oct. 9.

The event is sold out, but we are giving away free seats at the event on our Facebook and Twitter pages. Head over there to find out how you can enter to win access to Canic’s seminar.

Canic, president of Bridgeway Leadership, has helped executives across the country achieve quantifiable results with his unrelenting focus on strategic alignment and execution. COCC’s website describes his seminar thusly:

Results don’t happen by chance. They happen when leaders create organizations that are systematically aligned to “win”: the right environment, right focus and right people. In this interactive workshop, national speaker Dr. Michael Canic outlines how to create an environment that aligns the factors that impact employees’ performance with winning, how to develop a focus that is compelling, concise and clear, and how to attract and select the right people. Don’t miss this unique opportunity for high-level professional development in Central Oregon!

The seminar is scheduled for 8-11:30 a.m. Oct. 9, with a breakfast buffet from 7-8 a.m. (Yaaay for breakfast!) It’ll happen at the Coats Campus Center in Wille Hall on COCC’s campus, 2600 NW College Way in Bend.

Want to go? Again, we’ve got spots and we’ll be giving them away on Facebook and Twitter.
