Live-tweeting from BVC: Jimmy Sbarra of Volcano Veggies

Back in 2014, Volcano Veggies — then a scrappy startup that used aquaponics to grow organic vegetables year-round in Bend — won the Early Stage Award at the Bend Venture Conference.

This year, we’ve asked company co-founder Jimmy Sbarra to take over the BendBroadband Business Twitter account during the 2016 Early Stage Award competition on Friday, Oct. 14. Sbarra will share his observations and insights from the perspective of someone who has gone through exactly what this year’s finalists will be going through. We’re excited about it, so follow along at @BBBbusiness.

And while you wait for BVC, take a few minutes to watch our interview with Jimmy below!

The Bend Venture Conference happens Oct. 13-14 at the Tower Theatre in downtown Bend. Since 2011, BendBroadband Business has sponsored the cash prize for the Early Stage Award as part of our commitment to championing innovation and economic growth in Central Oregon. This year’s winner will take home $15,000.
