You may have heard the recent calls on social media to share a picture of an inspirational woman in your life. These muses and the resulting social chatter are laying the foundation for the inaugural Muse Women’s Conference to be held March 1–3 in Bend.

The event in downtown Bend will feature local women and teens along with internationally recognized female activists. The conference will kick off Womenʼs History Month and usher in International Womenʼs Day, which is March 8.

The event will include a MUSE First Friday Art Walk; a full day of panel discussions, live performances and keynote speakers at the Tower Theatre; a reception and private dinner; and various breakout workshops facilitated by local leaders, teachers and artists.

“We want to inspire women and girls by showing them the enormous potential they hold for change,” said Amanda Stuermer, founder of the event. The MUSE conference is envisioned as an annual event that will bring women leaders from around the world to Central Oregon each year. Tickets are on sale at the event website, www.museconference.org.
