Wade Holmes appointed to Oregon Broadband Advisory Council

BendBroadband Vice President of Technology, Wade Holmes, gives Governor Kitzhaber a tour of the Vault.

Congratulations to Wade Holmes, our VP of technology. Gov. John Kitzhaber recently appointed Holmes and two other new members to the Oregon Broadband Advisory Council.

The council’s mission is to encourage broadband coordination and collaboration among organizations and economic sectors.

The council reports to the Oregon Legislature on the affordability and accessibility of broadband technology in all areas of the state and on the extent of broadband technology use in health care, energy management, education and government.

Before joining BendBroadband, Holmes supported undergraduate and graduate research for the College of Engineering at Oregon State University.  He also has held technology positions with the High Desert Education Service District and rural Internet service providers throughout Eastern Oregon.

Holmes is a lifetime Oregonian and a Central Oregon native.
