Tails were wagging at the Bend Chamber of Commerce SAGE awards May 31.

BendBroadband was selected as Large Business of the Year. It also was recognized with the Bend Chamber Board Award of Distinction and Excellence.

We’d like to thank the Bend business community for supporting our organization and employees.

Large Business of the Year Award:

According to the Bend Chamber,The Large Business of the Year Award is given to a for-profit business of 30 or more employees, located in Central Oregon, that is a member of the Bend Chamber of Commerce. This prestigious award is a great honor and recognizes the business excellence in our community. Selections were made on the basis of business growth and performance,expansion of operations/efficiencies, consistent outstanding customer service, investments in capital improvements, innovation/expansion of product line(s), responsiveness to business and industry challenges and adversity, and consistent community involvement.

The Bend Chamber Board Award of Distinction and Excellence:

According to the Chamber, this board award honors, celebrates and recognizes business excellence in our community. The award recognizes a business that has shown outstanding growth, significant achievements in innovation and superior community involvement. This award is given to a Bend Chamber member and is handpicked by the Bend Chamber Board of Directors.

About the SAGE awards:

The Bend business community takes pride in creating a better community for the residents of Central Oregon. Each year the Bend Chamber recognizes the efforts of local businesses and organizations with the SAGE (Star Awards for Greatness and Excellence) awards. The awards gala has been a local institution since 1990.

We were honored to be nominated for the award with the other nominees in the Large Business of the Year category. We tip our hat to Combined Communications, Hayden Homes and the Karnopp Petersen law firm.
