BendBroadband’s Amy Tykeson enters Cable Hall of Fame
Tykeson was inducted last month at the National Cable Show in Washington D.C.

July 2, 2013 — BendBroadband President and CEO Amy Tykeson received an extraordinary distinction June 10, when she was inducted in the Cable Center’s Cable Hall of Fame. The Cable Hall of Fame honors individuals who have advanced the industry through lasting contributions — entrepreneurs, thought leaders, innovators and rebels. Since the creation of the Hall of Fame in 1998, there have been less than 100 honorees.

A committee of industry peers and leaders selects Hall of Fame honorees based on their outstanding dedication to and impact on the cable industry.

“I never dreamed I would receive this recognition and this honor,” Tykeson told the online magazine CableFax. “My entire adult life has been spent working in cable. I have made so many wonderful friends, been exposed to such talented and smart people. I’ve had the good fortune to be mentored by remarkable men and women. I am lucky to be part of this extraordinary business and grateful for all it has given back to me.”

The event was held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, however The Cable Hall of Fame is located within The Cable Center at the University of Denver. The show was emceed by NBC’s chief foreign affairs correspondent, Andrea Mitchell.
