BendBroadband welcomes new chief financial officer
Bend executive and consultant Gary Lawrence brings 23 years of experience to post
Bend, Ore. – Aug. 1, 2013 – BendBroadband, a regional technology leader, is pleased to welcome Gary Lawrence as chief financial officer. Drawing on extensive experience in the software, financial and telecommunications industries, Lawrence brings to the company a wealth of knowledge and solid leadership skills.
In his varied 23-year career, Lawrence has worked for Hamstreet & Associates, Cort Software, Orcom Solutions, LiveWire Ventures and PriCellular. He moved from the New York City area to Bend in 2000 while serving as executive vice president and CFO of Orcom. Before joining BendBroadband, Lawrence was president of Bend-based Lawrence Consulting, which provided financial, management and turnaround consulting services to companies in the Northwest.

Lawrence will evaluate growth opportunities and operational procedures that will help the company continue more than 50 years of success and technology innovation.

Lawrence graduated with honors from Wake Forest University, where he received the Wall Street Journal Award for outstanding senior achievement in finance. He earned an MBA in finance, business economics, money and financial markets from Columbia University. He is an Eagle Scout.
BendBroadband’s former CFO, Tom Palmer, is remaining on board to ensure a smooth transition. He will retire early next year. Palmer, who is based in Eugene, has contributed to the BendBroadband executive team and board of directors as CFO for 30 years.
BendBroadband is a family-owned local company serving Central Oregon since 1955.
