BendBroadband Signs Contract with Viacom

Last week, The National Cable Television Cooperative (NCTC) reached an agreement with Viacom, the parent company of MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Comedy Central, TV Land and other networks.

Good news if you enjoy these channels: BendBroadband has signed the NCTC/ Viacom contract and we will continue to offer the Viacom channels to our customers. During the negotiation process, we heard from many customers who were concerned that their prices might rise if we yielded to Viacom’s rate increase demands. While the costs for the channels have increased, BendBroadband will keep cable TV prices the same by reducing expenses in other areas.

Additionally, the new agreement with Viacom requires BendBroadband to move some channels and make a few changes to the line up. We are working out the details now, and will let you know as soon as we have solidified the plans. Once again, thank you for your support and input as we negotiated the best possible value for our customers.
