Check out Fusion, a network new to BendBroadband. The network features news, comedy and entertainment for millennials. Launched in October 2013, Fusion is a joint venture of Disney-ABC Television Group and Univision Communications.
The new network is mainly targeted to millennials – roughly, young people between the ages of 18 and 34. Rather than providing round-the-clock news coverage, Fusion offers context and analysis. Its blend of programming includes interviews, documentaries and in-depth reports on news, pop culture and lifestyle.
Fusion’s anchor shows are “America with Jorge Ramos,” “Alicia Mendez Tonight,” “Open Source with Leon Krauze,” “The Morning Show” and the satirical news show “No, You Shut Up.”
“America with Jorge Ramos” is a hard-hitting hour of storytelling, reporting and newsmaking interviews. Providing a voice for the voiceless and a vehicle for change, the show focuses on the essential issues of our time.
“Alicia Mendez Tonight” is a daily deep dive into the topics that matter most to Mendez’s generation. It provides fresh insights, information and unconventional wisdom on such topics as sex, money and politics.
“The Morning Show” is filled with smart, edgy and compelling stories for millennials.
“No, You Shut Up” is a satirical show hosted by comedian Paul F. Tompkins. The commentators on the panel of “No, You Shut Up” are puppets operated by puppeteers from the Henson Company. It can best be described as a lively, opinionated and extremely angry show.
Fusion is a TV+Digital network for a young and diverse America. It includes a compelling website featuring news, entertainment, pop culture and lifestyle reporting as well as polls on popular topics.
Fusion launched on BendBroadband on Sept. 30. It is available to Preferred customers. You can find the network on Channel 134.
