If you have kids who are online, you owe it to yourself — and to them — to check out next week’s Public & Permanent programs, happening Monday in Redmond and Tuesday in Bend.
Public & Permanant is appropriate for children in middle school and older, and an adult must accompany all children. The program will feature information on negative, irresponsible and malicious online behavior and offer tips on how to reduce the risk of being a victim of cyber-crime or digital exploitation.
Richard Guerry of the Institute for Responsible Online and Cell-Phone Communication (IROC2), will lead the program. Here’s some footage of him at work.
Register in advance at www.kidscenter.org. Tickets will also be available at the door. All proceeds benefit the KIDS Center, a non-profit dedicated to the prevention, evaluation and treatment of child abuse in Central Oregon.
