According to the stat gurus on BendBroadband’s Technical Support team — available 24/7!around 10 percent of the calls the department receives in a given month are for email-related issues.

And many of those issues could have been resolved more quickly, or not prompted a call for help at all, if the customer knew his or her email password.

Forgetting your password isn’t ideal, but it is understandable these days. With all the password-saving options out there — on both computers and mobile devices — it’s very easy to hit the “save” button and let technology remember for you.

If you have services from BendBroadband, though, it’s very important that you know your password. If you do, you’ll have an easier time troubleshooting your own technical issues using our library of support documents, and you’ll likely expedite the help process if you do need to call Tech Support.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to help ensure you know your password.

Confirm your password
