Last night, we successfully moved all BendBroadband email customers to a new email system that is more robust and more reliable than our old system.
That’s great news. Going forward, customers who use bendbroadband.com, bendcable.com and chamberscable.com addresses will have sturdier email service, and those who use webmail at bendbroadband.com will enjoy a much-improved email interface.
This was a huge and complex operation, and while we consider it a success, we also identified a handful of issues that caused problems for our customers. Teams here in Bend and across the country spent all day working to address those issues, and currently, all but one are considered to be resolved.
If you’re a customer who uses bendbroadband.com, bendcable.com or chamberscable.com email, we sincerely thank you for your patience today.
Right now, there are four items we want to pass along that we believe will be helpful to a significant number of customers who may still be running into trouble:
1. If your BendBroadband webmail works but you are unable to either send and/or receive email using the email program (e.g. Outlook) on your PC, tablet or smartphone you may need to update one or more of the settings in that program. One issue we identified is that the “username” field in settings must contain your entire email address (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org).
2. If you are looking for our email server settings, click here.
3. If you need to reset your password, you can do so by following these steps.
4. If you are a Chambers Cable email customer and you have not yet called us to change your password, please do so at 541-382-5551. You must change your password before you can continue using your email.
If none of those items address your specific problem, there’s lots more helpful information at bendbroadband.com/emailupgrade.
And if you need additional assistance, our Tech Support department is available 24/7 by calling 541-382-5551. Please know that they are dealing with very high call volumes, so wait times are longer than usual. Thanks again for your patience.
