Almost four weeks have passed since our big email upgrade, during which we moved more than 43,000 bendbroadband.com, bendcable.com and chamberscable.com email accounts to a new and improved email system. There were some unexpected bumps in the road, but overall, the project was successful and without major incident.
Now, it’s time to make sure everyone’s got what they need out of their old email account. At the beginning of this project, we established a 60-day period after the upgrade during which customers can log in to their old email and move any old emails or contacts over to the new system. Note: BendBroadband cannot move old emails or contacts for you. Here’s why:
That 60-day period will end Nov. 24 — just five weeks away. To make sure you’ve got what you need, follow these steps:
1. Click here to determine whether you even need to move emails from the old email system to the new one.
2. Once you’ve done that, click here to get instructions on how to access emails that reside in the old email system and move them to the new system and start at step #3.
3. Now, you may want to move your contacts from your old email system to the new one. There are two ways to do this, both of which are outlined here.
Again: Access to the old email system will be available until Nov. 24. If you think you may want access to some emails, drafts, attachments or contacts that are currently in your old email, we suggest you move them sooner than later. (Please note: Emails and contacts that are stored on a personal device — your computer’s Outlook email program, for example — will not in any way be impacted by this upcoming change.)
