In late September, BendBroadband upgraded to a new email platform to improve reliability for customers that use our online Webmail service and for those who rely on us to send and receive email using programs like Microsoft Outlook. Simultaneously, we launched a new, full-featured Webmail product that, in addition to email, provides users with organizational tools such as a calendar and task list.
We’re delighted to report that during the first six weeks on the new platform, we’ve achieved 100-percent uptime and there have been no performance issues. We’ve continued to work with customers who need assistance with the transition, and our 24/7 Tech Support team reports a steady decrease in email-related calls since the beginning of October.
As we quickly approach the deadline, we wanted to send out this reminder that access to the old Webmail service will end at 8 a.m. on Nov. 24. If you need to access old emails, attachments or contacts in Webmail past this deadline, please move them into the new Webmail product using the links below or call Tech Support for assistance. Remember: Emails and contacts that are stored on a personal device – your computer’s Outlook email program, for example – are not impacted by this upcoming change.
Again, the window to access your old Webmail and contacts will close at 8 a.m. on Nov. 24. To make sure you’ve got what you need, follow these steps:
3. You may want to move your contacts from your old Webmail system to the new one. There are two ways to do this, both outlined here.
If you have any questions or need additional assistance after following the steps above, please call our 24/7 Tech Support team at 541-382-5551.
As always, thank you for being a BendBroadband customer!
