It’s blustery out there, but we’re not going to let that dampen our excitement about Central Oregon’s upcoming summer concert season.
And then there’s 4 Peaks Music Festival, the grassroots, family friendly, jam-tastic annual gathering in a pasture near Tumalo. For several years now, 4 Peaks has been growing into a force on the West Coast fest scene by bringing bluegrass, roots and rock bands to a beautiful location with a great view of the Cascades.
This year’s 4 Peaks festival will happen June 16-19, and the lineup is probably the best in the event’s history. The three big-name headliners — Chris Robinson Brotherhood, Jackie Greene and the Jeff Austin Band — are all first-timers at 4 Peaks, while several of the other acts, such as Jelly Bread, World’s Finest, Poor Man’s Whiskey and Elektrapod, should be very familiar to music-loving locals. Check out the full lineup on the poster to the right.
Besides music, 4 Peaks features good food, camping, activities for the kids and more. (Kids age 10 and younger get in free, by the way.) You can learn all about it at the festival’s website.
If this sounds up your alley, you should pounce on early bird tickets, which are on sale now for a discounted price of $140 (plus fees). If you’re in Bend, you can save even more by buying them at the Cosmic Depot. And for all the “glampers” out there, don’t miss the Luxury RV Package, which gets you as close to the venue as possible and three nights in a luxury RV that’s waiting for you when you show up to the event. Only $850! (Plus fees, of course.)
Again, you can find all this info and more at 4peaksmusic.com.
