UPDATE — JANUARY 3, 2017: We’re pleased to let you know that your Fox channels will not be interrupted.
After much back and forth, BendBroadband and the Fox Networks reached acceptable terms that will keep Fox’s vast array of networks on the air for BendBroadband customers.
Escalating network fees are the No. 1 threat to affordable cable TV. The new terms ensure continued carriage of these channels in the BendBroadband lineup.
Happy New Year and thank you for being a BendBroadband customer.
Earlier news…
DECEMBER 7, 2016: We wanted to let you know contract negotiations are underway with the Fox Broadcasting Company to continue BendBroadband’s broadcast of its network of channels. These include: Fox News, Fox Sports 1, FX, National Geographic, the Big 10 Network, and others. BendBroadband’s existing contract with Fox expires on Dec. 31, 2016.
Right now, BendBroadband is negotiating to keep network fees as low as possible so your TV bill remains affordable. Increases in programming costs are an industry-wide problem and we try to do everything we can to keep them down while also retaining your favorite channels.
Negotiations are expected to continue well into the holiday season. If an agreement can’t be reached by Jan. 1, Fox may force BendBroadband to take down channels while we continue to negotiate a fair and reasonable contract for our customers.
Thank you for being a BendBroadband customer.
Please keep Fox News channels.
If you lose fox you lose me
If Fox is no longer offered on Bend Broadband I will seek an alternative provider.
Very sorry to hear that Faux News will still be here to lie to people and help get idiots elected.
Sorry to hear FOX news is still here
Will there be an addition price increase (in addition to the already release price increases)?
