Mariners baseball kicks into gear

Projected to go 82-80 in the American League West, the Seattle Mariners are talented enough to compete for a wild card spot this year.

Pitching will be key to how the season goes for the Mariners, who went 78-84 last season and tied for third in the AL West. Seattle used a major-league record 40 pitchers last year.
