AMERICAN PICKERS coming back to Oregon

AMERICAN PICKERS coming back to Oregon

Mike Wolfe, Frank Fritz and their team are returning to Oregon. They plan to film episodes of the hit series AMERICAN PICKERS throughout the region in April 2019.

AMERICAN PICKERS is in its 20th season and is a documentary series that explores the fascinating world of antique “picking” on the History Channel. The hit show follows Mike and Frank as they hunt for America’s most valuable antiques. They are always excited to find sizeable, unique collections and learn the interesting stories behind them.

As the duo travel the back roads from coast to coast, Mike and Frank are on a mission to recycle and rescue forgotten relics. Along the way, the Pickers want to meet characters with remarkable and exceptional items. The pair hopes to give historically significant objects a new lease on life, while learning a thing or two about America’s past along the way.

If you or someone you know has a large, private collection or accumulation of antiques that the Pickers can spend the better part of the day looking through, send us your name, phone number, location and description of the collection with photos to americanpickers@cineflix.com or call 855-OLD-RUST.

Mike and Frank went picking in Oregon in 2018. The first half of the show featured Salem-area man Zane Leek and his mother, Linda. The shows brings big decisions on whether to spend more than $90,000 on several picks involving Studebakers, Buicks, Packards, and rare motorcycles. In the second half of the show, the two travel to Eastern Oregon and where their picks include an interesting mix of signs, license plates and more.

During the show, Mike and Frank often are found driving up to old barns, warehouses, garages, junkyards, or even going into homes and basements.

Oftentimes, what the sellers have to share is not just an antique; it is also a story. The people that Mike and Frank meet are sometimes the most interesting part of the show – with witty remarks and surprising tales of the life of the piece and the personal connection that formed.

But they do not get here alone. The third member of the team, Danielle Colby Cushman, is in charge of the Antique Archaeology, the antique store and base for the pickers. Danielle feeds tips from prospective antique spots to Mike and Frank, works with buyers, and organizes shipments.

“American Pickers” is a great show to get in the routine of watching (or at least recording) Monday nights at 8 p.m. CST. The show will blow you away with a variety of people with a variety of things – and you might just learn something along the way.
