Cats, dogs, birds, rabbits and even a few rats can all be adopted at The Humane Society of Central Oregon. BendBroadband is grateful for the wonderful delivery of care to the more than 3,000 lost, abandoned, neglected and abused animals each year in our area.
For each animal, HSCO provides medical care, microchipping, spay/neuter and they coordinate adoptions. In addition, HSCO has a pet food assistance program, education programs and also serves as a dog licensing and renewal site. HSCO serves the Bend, southern Deschutes County & outlying areas.
To help fund their programs, they rely on donors, volunteers and the proceeds from the Humane Society Thrift & Furniture Store at 61220 S. Highway 97, in Bend.
Upcoming HSCO events:
Tables for Tails is set for Tuesday, April 30. Tables for Tails is an annual dining fundraiser in which 10% of the total bill (food and beverage) of patrons who dine at participating restaurants will be donated to HSCO. Participating restaurants include: McKay Cottage, Immersion Brewing, Marcello’s Cucina Italiana, and Joolz.
Camp Furry Friends offers a great opportunity to learn about the humane treatment and care of animals. Camps run Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The 2019 camp schedule is the following:
July 22-26 – Ages 9-12

BendBroadband sponsored events:
Last fall, BendBroadband sponsored the HSCO Tricycle & Weiner Races in downtown Bend. The event was a fun day of Weiner Dog Races and Tricycle Races.
