Bend Oktoberfest, Sept. 20, 21

Bend Oktoberfest, Sept. 20, 21

Join BendBroadband on Sept 20 & 21 for Downtown Bend’s largest fundraiser, Bend Oktoberfest.

More than 15,000 people gather at this free, community event in downtown Bend. Enjoy numerous feats of strength and silly games, live music, great food and local beer! Bring the entire family to enjoy the wiener dog races, stein hold competition, tricycle races, a bratwurst toss, a yodeling competition, and a costume contest!

Friday night on the Main Stage, there will be music by Mirko Pressler Band starting at 4 p.m. The Yodeling Contest starts at 7 p.m., with the Bend Beer Choir on stage at 9:15 p.m.

On Saturday, BendBroadband enjoys the weiner dog races, which benefits a BendBroadband-supported agency — The Humane Society of Central Oregon.  The races are located at the Irving Street Arena. Race registration is from 3 to 4 p.m. The cost to race is $10 per dog. Races kick off at 4 p.m., with the winner announced around 5 p.m.  Don’t miss this fun event.

The Oktoberfest Olympics kick off Saturday at 7 p.m. The Chicken Dance Contest starts off the evening and then the costume competition is next. Don’t miss the sausage toss, the barrel role and then the running of the steins. Prizes are awarded and there’s no pre-registration or cost to participate – just show up and have fun!

We suggest you pre-purchase your steins and tokens to skip the line.  Bend Oktoberfest is the most engaging festival of the year, and the only festival where 100% of the funds raised go directly back into Downtown Bend!
