At BendBroadband, we know volunteers and nonprofit organizations provide a tremendous service to those who are less fortunate in the communities we serve. During this season of Thanksgiving, we want to thank the nonprofits who are making a difference in our communities.
BendBroadband is a proud sponsor of many events in our area. In addition, our employees are in the community volunteering and helping others. Here are a few from the last year: the Bend Elks, Les Schwab Concert Series, La Pine Rodeo, Fourth of July Parade in Madras, Summerfest, Jefferson County Fair and Rodeo, Crook County Foundation, Balloons over Bend, Bacon and Brews in Redmond, Deschutes County Fair and Rodeo, Picnic in the Park Concert Series, Redmond Chamber of Commerce Golf Tournament, Sunriver Art Fair, Latino Festival, Music on the Green in Redmond, Sisters Folk Festival, Wiener Races, Discover Nature Festival, Christmas Light Parade in Madras, and Central Oregon Daily’s Origin Stories
In addition, BendBroadband participated in a company wide school supply drive for the school districts in Bend, Madras and Prineville. It’s also always fun to provide tours for school children at Central Oregon Daily.
Special shout outs to BendBroadband employee Melanie Grandjacques who is a member of the United Way of Deschutes County. Melanie works in our application development and management area. And to Juan Garcia for his work with the Latino Community Association and for other nonprofits in the Madras area. Juan is a system maintenance technician and was our volunteer of the quarter.
Finally, we developed a Scout Spotlight campaign for this past year. Here are some of these campaigns for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Bend, The Shield and Abilitree.
