Redmond and Bend ranked as the 12th and 13th best small cities to start a business

Redmond and Bend, Oregon were named number 12 and 13 respectively, as the best small cities to start a business.

The report was developed by WalletHub, who compared the business-friendliness of more than 1,300 small-sized cities. Their data set of 20 key metrics ranged from average growth in number of small businesses to investor access to labor costs.

According to WalletHub, the best cities can help new businesses survive economic shocks such the COVID-19 pandemic, which already caused around 100,000 small businesses to close permanently in 2020.

WalletHub is a personal finance website that was launched in 2013. It is owned by Evolution Finance, Inc. and is based in Washington, DC.
